Welcome to The Pirates Reef. As of now this in an informational site aimed at educating people on the marine world and how to sucessfully bring that world home to you own marine aquarium.
The Reef
The reef in my words is best described as a place in the ocean where all things have come together to form a perfect balance of life. There are ocean currents running all over our planets oceans and those currents at some points meet up and join together at breif junctions all over the ocean. In there joinnings you get an influx of multiple different life forms and minerals and just about everything else the ocean can kick up. The places are reef life hot spots. You can have species from all over the globe joined here at these hot spots in a huge burst of abundant life. Fish from Florida end up in Australia and coral from Fiji ends up in Japan. These currents are oceanic super hiways that connect our worlds oceans and give us the huge variety of life we see in our reefs. Raja Impat in one such example. This hotspot has one of the largest seperat spicies counts in all the world. Three main currents join here in this relitavly tight area and the outcome is breath taking.
For now here on The Pirates Reef I want to just pass on some of my knowlage and wonderful experiances I have had in the marine world in hopes to educate, entertain and enlighten. In the future I will be providing aquarium fish and corals in an attempt to provide the public with hand raised and properlly cared for marine life. It has become all to familiar the bad dealings with most online aquadics sellers and I hope to give people a good, trustworthy and respectful avenue to persu their hobby.
